PALANGKA RAYA, BORNEO24.COM – A deadly accident occurred on the Tjilkk Riwut Road section Km 13, Palangka Raya, Friday (10/1/2020) at 6:00 p.m. A husband and wife Ndriyo Santoso (50) and Ani (46) villagers of Petuk Ketimpun Village, died after being dragged by a car. They are a chili seller at Big Market of Palangka Raya.
From the information, the accident began when the couple drove from the direction of Tangkiling towards Big Market of Palangka Raya to sell garden chili.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Honda Vario KH 2930 YR motorbike was ridden and made both of them fall on the asphalt. Bad luck, along from the opposite direction rolled Daihatsu Grand Max car with plat number N 9685 SCD which did not have time to avoid and hit the two victims.
“Before they were crushed, both of them fell from the motorcycle in the middle of the road. Both of them I know because they used to sell chili in the market,” said Iin, one of the villagers.
Meanwhile, Head of Traffic Unit Police of Palangka Raya Regional Police, AKP Anang Hardianto, said it was strongly alleged that the two victims had fallen due to slippery road and in rainy conditions.
“For female victims, she bounce off to the side of the road with their heads hit the asphalt, while her husband bounce to the right. Then hit by a car from the opposite direction. We are still looking for the chronology by conducting crime scene and witnesses’ information,” he emphasized.
