KOTAWARINGIN BARAT, BORNEO24.COM – Durian fruit traders in Kotawaringin Barat were called by Public Order Agency officers (Satpol PP) of West Kotawaringin with Head of Madurejo Urban Village to discuss the relocation of trading places, Monday (1/13/2020).
Previously, the traders were selling around the Pancasila Roundabout, but the Satpol PP along with the Urban Village relocated to Pangkalan Bun Park on the grounds of violating the local regulation, which should not be available or anyone selling on the roadside.
“We are relocating durian fruit traders because it is following local regulations, but the point is we want to relocate traders to Pangkalan Bun Park because they want to make the place a durian fruit culinary tour,” said Head of Satpol PP Majerum Purni.
According to Purni, traders still have to sell at Pangkalan Bun Park, but if in the next few days the sales are quiet or unsold, they will be allowed to sell again at their original place, which is at the Pancasila Roundabout. But it must follow the terms and conditions that have been set.
“Hopefully, from this meeting, the traders and Satpol PP and their villages can find good solutions for the common good,” he said.
